Quickstart

Create an app, keep its permanent app ID, and save a draft release. Nothing in this walkthrough publishes a release or sends an update prompt to your app's users.

• Create an account or sign in, then open the dashboard. If you see Unlock VibeUpdate, follow the access steps on that page.
• Have the iOS Bundle ID, the Android Package name, or both. These identifiers must match the mobile app. Ask the person responsible for your app's integration if you do not know them.
• Choose your default language code, such as en or de. This is the language your release notes fall back to when another translation is unavailable.

You can create an app and draft before connecting the SDK. Showing release notes or update prompts inside the mobile app requires the separate SDK installation.

1. In Apps, select New app. On an empty dashboard, you can also select Create app.

2. In Identity, enter App name. Review the generated Public slug, which becomes the last part of your public changelog URL. Set Default locale, then select Continue.

3. In Platforms, enable iOS, Android, or both. Enter the identifier for every enabled platform. You may leave Store link empty for now, but each platform needs its store link before you can publish it.

   The public changelog page and search indexing are enabled by default. Draft release notes are not public. After creation, you can change these settings in the app's Public changelog tab.

4. Select Create app. When Your permanent app ID appears, the app has been created.

5. Select Copy to keep the app ID, then select Continue to integration. The ID identifies this app in the SDK. It is not an agent token.

6. The Integration step shows the setup information for the person connecting your mobile app. Use the installation guide for that work. Select Continue to reach Test release. Continuing does not verify that the SDK is connected.

Save your first draftCopy Anchor Link

1. In Test release, select Create draft.
2. VibeUpdate opens the app's Releases tab. Look for version 1.0.0 with the Draft status.
3. Open that release to review it. The sample contains welcome text in your default locale and build number 1 with Optional mode for each platform you enabled.

The sample is an editable draft, not a verified record of your mobile app's current release. Replace its version, notes, and build numbers before publishing. Follow Create and edit releases for the editor and Publish releases when you are ready to make a platform live.

If you do not want a sample release, choose Skip test draft instead. Your app still exists, and you can use New release later.

Once you have reached Your permanent app ID, the app already exists. If you leave the wizard, return to Apps and open it rather than creating it again. Its Integration tab contains the app ID, and New release lets you create a draft.

If Create app fails, review the message under Something went wrong. Check the app name, slug, locale, and platform fields against the app requirements. If the dashboard asks you to unlock access, see Account and access.
